I was doing a little surfing about diabetes, and discovered this site:

I looked it over and it is a pretty good site with good information. It's run by the JDRF

Thanks for this post! I loved the profiles. I love hearing about famous people that I had no idea have Type 1 diabetes. I *love* the band Audioslave!!!

For info sake, Gary Hall Jr. (Olympic swimmer), the current Mr. Universe (Doug Burns), one of the Jonas Brothers singers, heiress Casey Johnson (friend of Paris Hilton), and actresses Halle Berry and Mary Tyler Moore all have Type 1 diabetes. Some kids out there may be inspired to know that!

I *believe* actor Jeff Foxworthy's son also has Type 1.

Oh yes, Bobby Clarke (the former hockey player turned coach) also has Type 1. I am in awe of how he played professional hockey back in the day with such primitive diabetes technology!!
