Cool

I think that being able to control it with diet would be a big plus and huge incentive to want to do well. It seems that every couple of weeks there's a report that some medication or other is causing a lot of problems and at risk for being pulled from the pharmacies.

it's worth the inconvenience of buying specials foods... imo, of course.

I am under the same impression, thumperfive. If there's a good food that would benefit me, the inconvenience of having to look for it or buy extra really wouldn't matter too much.

Oh absolutely, and even in just the last couple of years. I'm always amazed at how many new products are being added to the store shelves. What annoys me is the high prices when there's a product that fills a need that isn't being filled too well with other products. I don't mind paying more for quality but sometimes it can get way out of hand!

but, again - gotta read the labels - I've gotten trapped when I see Low Sugar and it's loaded up with sodium beyond belief!

Can there actually be many processed foods out there that aren't loaded with stuff though?

If you think about it, they have to put additives in for the colour and taste, preservatives to make it last much longer than its natural life, and in general make up products that appeal to us?

Is it any wonder that we have such problems?

Nope, no wonder at all, unfortunately. Another thing to watch for, in addition to the "low sugar" falsehood, is "light"... Light doesn't necessarily mean healthy, I've found out. It could be "light" on any little dinky ingredient and they'd be allowed to call it that.

Thumbs down

What they don't seem to realize while trying to sell more of
the product is that dishonesty in labeling can *kill* people who
simply can't have the ingredients or at the least make certain
people very sick.
