Question snacks, What do you have?

I have been having a hard time with snacks. I try to eat 6 times a day. What kind of foods do you all reach for when ya just need a little snack. Peachy

Default Snackages

For me snacks are strange:

Guacolmole and kettle chips
Guacomole and Cucumber slices

Gala Apple sliced in wedges into Carb Control Yogurt

Sugar Free jello and Extra creamy Whipped topping

Ceasar salad

Beef jerkey

Tomatoe dipped in Kosher salt

Pickled herring

boiled cabbage

chicken leg

cheese cubes

these are my favorites. Often I make a meal from a few of these together.

I like:

-Tuna right out of the can with mustard, lemon juice, pepper.
-Beans and tomato sauce (from the can)
-A spoonful of natural peanut butter (just peanuts, nothing added)
-Nuts
-Spinach salad with goat feta cheese and Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing, topped with flax seed.
-Brown rice crackers
-Bean and Bacon soup
-Gatorade or V8 Vegetable cocktail (Note: Gatorade is NOT low carb, I do not usually drink diet drinks since I react to artificial sweetener).
-Fruit to Go sticks
-Sesame Snaps (good for lows too)
-Corn cakes (like rice cakes but made with corn) and peanut butter

When I was pregnant with gestational diabetes I had oranges and apples for snacks but I always added a piece of cheese with it.

I always keep these little snack bags of baby carrots in the fridge or carry them with me. If I am at home I like to dip them in a sauce, plenty of vitamins in one of these packs and of course beta.

I eat a piece of 2% Live Active cheese almost everyday. I also eat yogurt a lot, and sometimes just some fresh fruit. I generally stick with easy snacks, that my 2 year old will enjoy as well, since he always snacks with me.

I always have a few ziplock containers filled with sliced vegetables in the fridge at all times. I also have chick peas or any beans in another container. At anytime I need to eat, I make a quick salad and top it off with pasta sauce instead of salad dressing. It has a lot less calories than salad dressing and tastes much better to me.

I have a half piece of fruit and just eat the second half if I am still really hungry.

Home made applesauce with a tablespoon of yoghourt is also great for a quick snack. When I make the apple sauce I put it into individual small containers, so all I have to do is open one and it's a correct sized portion.

Since parsley is so good for you, I take some parsley, including the stems and chew on it. It takes a while to get the stems soft enough to swallow -- and your breath smells great afterwards too. You do need to make certain that you don't leave any green in your teeth though!
