Default Do you keep up?

Do you keep up with all the new treatments, meters and even theoretical research--or just leave it to your doctor to tell you what you need to know? I use to pay a lot more attention but now it seems that as soon as something actually gets ot the point of being useful my doc is on it--she kind of does all that for her patients....

it's a sort of catch-22 - I keep track of new developments for my MIL, but then she either ignores it because it's too complicated or her doctor tells her to not bother reading the crap on the internet.... a little knowledge can be dangerous, to be fair.
