Default Implant for monitoring gar levels?

My mom said she read somewhere that a new glucose monitor has been approed by the FDA that is actually an implant. It monitors glucose levels continuously throughout the day and give even alert you to changes.

I wonder if this is true and if so, when it will be available.

Is this the wireless implant that you line up and it tells you what your blood sugar is at any time? You have it implanted in your body, it's about the size of a pea, and then when you want to read your BG, you line it up with a magnetic coil worn on the wrist which vibrates to tell you what your blood glucose is.

The article I read doesn't mention if it warns you about the levels, but it sounds pretty good as is. It's simple and sounds like a great idea. No more pricking your finger and using a machine to test. A simple passing of your wrist over the implant tells you what you need to know.

I like it.
