I found a new glucose monitor that uses a laser to open the skin to take the blood. At least there are no needles. Since I don't know anyone who has used one, I can't say how painful it can be. I have experience with the type of laser that is used in this device. It can hurt. Their website says you can adjust the laser power level so that it doesn't. That might help. This monitor is available now, if anyone is interested. It sounds interesting.
