Default Equipment for the newly Dxd

Diabetes is an accessorie. Much ike a nice wallet or pair of earrings or great watch, its an acessorie that you will be taking with you. But it need not be boring!
Glucometer( glucose meter cases) are often boring black..
medic alert bracletes are great but hardly noticable and in fact many EMTS overlook them..
log books are plain and so on.
These are needs.

so here is a checklist of thinsg every diabetic should have:

Glucose meter: Make sure its small, lightweight, comfortable to hold. MAke sure the cae is nie and can hold your needs.
Id Bracelet: Ladies I make beaded ones from genuine gemstones and sterling silver charm bracelets so its fashionable. I hated the steelones they always looked so medical.
men should wear one that is comfortable. The new watch slide ons make life easy.
Dr. scholes insoles: saves your feet from neuropathy
Alcohol swabs or bactine and swabsor Bactine is great it numbs the area just atad before poking!

High protein bar: Balance bars or South Beach high pro bars taste great and are a quick way to bring elevated glucose down if you are not on insulin. or Jerkey
Roll of butter rum lifesavers: bring up blood sugar in case of something. I prefer butter rum but hey any flavor works. I have used dry cereal, lollipops, regular snickers bars.

log book and pen. Any type of calender book that ahs squares where you can enter your Bgs for the day. Pens should reflect who you are!

Magazines: Diabetes Health, Diabetes Forecast, Diabetes Monitor, DLife and newlsltters and magazines form your glucose meter and medication companies.

after that al you need ot do is funkify your glucometer case, log books, pens and make it represent you!

I am workingon neopren cases for my meter so Its abit shock proof and colorful!
