Hey Everyone,

My name is Jennifer and my 4 year old daughter has had juvenile diabetes for a year now! Last weekend she pasted her 1 year anniversary. She has been on a pump for 6 months and she also was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease. We walk with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Holland Michigan! Well that is about it for now! I look forward to chatting with all of you and getting some advice!

Hi Jenni,

Welcome to the forums. I'm curious as to how the pump works for you guys.. I went to a pump clinic intro the other day at the Inova Diabetes Center in Merrifield, VA and spoke with some parents that had their 8 year old daughter there and they weren't sure what to do.. concerns regarding school, play time, etc.. I wasn't sure what to tell them..

Hi Jenni! I also have Type 1 (for 23 years now!) and Celiac Disease. I also wear a pump. I have used a pump for about 2 years and it helps quite a bit! I look forward to chatting with you. Check out our forum-I have posted some Type 1 related articles in the Parent and Newly Diagnosed sections.
