If your blood sugars are in good control, don't worry about the hunger! Since you have lost weight, your body is fighting to stay at that set point, hence the hunger. It's an old survival mechanism that nowadays is dangerous, since we are more prone to obesity related diseases than starvation with our modern lifestyle.
Some people with Type 2 diabetes also have problems regulating a hormone called Leptin, which regulates hunger. The key is to snack on healthy veggies and exercise instead of eating when the urge hits! Drinking water also helps. Some people confuse hunger with thirst.
If your blood sugars are poorly controlled, you may need to adjust your treatment plan. Poorly controlled BG levels can cause weight loss and hunger.
