Default To Pump Or Not

Does wearing a pump make you less aware you have diabetes or more aware of it?

I battled with diabetes for over twenty years. By the end I was truly thinking of getting a pump because I know it can give you a really good result in better blood sugar readings and better control. But I also thought that wearing it all day, making certain that it didn't pull out by mistake or snag on clothing or in crowds would weigh on my mind all day every day.

And on the other hand if you let the machine take over checking up on how you're doing all day, than you don't have the feeling of control you have by holding the reins of what you need to do.

If you could easily get a pump, would you?
