Talking How many meters do you have?

Many diabetics have multiple meters. Thsi happens because some meters are just not accurate, some become old and you cant get strips anymore, some loose their accuracy, some are free, some are from coupons, some are tradeups. Most diabetics find that they become a hoarding ground for meters.

So how many are in your drawer?

Default I have 9

I have:
Accucheck Active
Freestyle
Qid
One touch Surestep
One touch Profile
Xtra
Latitude by BD
INcharge by LXN
Bayer original Glucometer

of all I like the Xtra, Profiel and Freestyle. All three read within molecule sof each other and I am sure of what the readings are when my A1C comes back and confirms they are accurate.

One Touch Basic - Back up for II
One Touch II - Started out with this one, used this primarily for a couple years, until got profile.
One Touch Profile - Used this until I started receiving Ultras in the mail from Lifescan cause I had a couple Basics and One Touch IIs by then.
One Touch Ultra - I have several of these stashed around at family's houses
One Touch UltraSmart - Have a couple of these, mostly what I use
One Touch Ultra 2 - Another back up
One Touch Ultra Mini - Not bad to keep stashed in a purse or something as a backup.
Freestyle Flash - Not crazy about the strips with the Freestyle meters, so don't use either Flash or Freedom
Freestyle Freedom
BD Logic - Backup
Contour - Backup
Accuchek Active - Two of these, got one from Endo then one from Accuchek for whatever reason
Accuchek Advantage - Two, older model, newer model
Accuchek Complete - Freebie

My older One Touch meters, I don't use anymore, I get a supply of the Ultra strips, so I use my three Ultrasmarts the most. I've used countless other types of meters over the years, I don't remember what some of the names even were, but many have come and gone over the last decade.

Default Wow you win

you how they say the one with the most toys wins.........
you win.
I absolutely loved my INCharge, theone with teh fructosamine reading. When I use dthat I was always in the 5.8 A1c range. Sigh... shame that a few people got some bad strips and they recalled it.
Someday they will bring it back...........
