Lightbulb Diabetes Mellitus And Vaginal Infections

Keep blood glucose under control to reduce the amount of blood sugar available to nourish the microorganisms that cause these infections. Wipe from front to back to keep fecal bacteria from entering the vagina. Eat low- or non- fat yogurt. Some research suggests that “ active culture” yogurt helps prevent vaginitis. Consider hormone replacement therapy.

Default Yeast INfection and vaginal infection in diabetics

As a diabetic we have a slightly different immuni system. While Yogurt may work for some, we have to consider the elevated carbohydrate n\ may cause to aggrivate a yeast infection.
when our glucose lelvles rise, yeast multiplies as it has more glucose to thrive on, And combined with a warm environemnt, we are 5 times more likely to maintain a yeast infection.
Many women experience a yeast infection between menstrual cycles and clearing up during cycle.

the same can eb true of a vaginal infection, bladder infections. the PH balance of the interal workings is delicate. When either of these is thrown out of whack because of an elevated glucose level the bacteria have a chance to multiply and change the PH from acidic to neutral.
