Default Diabetes and Baldness

It may nopt be alopecia. Diabetes affects hair growth and folicular healtha s much as anything.
When yoru diabete sis out of control ,ebause the hair bulb is surrounded by an oil glad its a first to be utilized for ketosis protection on teh nerves.
So teh bubl and root become vulnerable to destruction by the kjetones and glucose overload.
Your hair might not be thick, luxurios and you migh even notice bald patches or look like your on chemo.
Once your in control, and tight control, yes your hair will grow back.

I know it happened to me. I was going bald. not just little whisps, but clumps.
Today with the anniversary of using R and N insulin and watching my diet( ok not that much) but eating well, i my husband noticed my hair has more curl and grew in one year 6 inches!
My doctor also noticed it.. she also attributes that to :
coming off of Lantus and switch to R and N, taking B vitamins twice a day instead of ACTOS, two aspirin a day instead of Plavix, and Chromium picolinate instead of actos. When i need a diuretic we use Midol.

This may not work for everyone, but diabetes will have an effect on the hair....
