Exclamation You Can Survive Passover

Passover doesn't need be a problem to our diets at all. At the seder just have smaller portions of the special foods, but even then, the foods from the ceremony aren't that bad for you. Just keep your wine consumption down. Fill your glass a quarter full and you won't over do it even when you have all the glasses of wine.

If your usual diet is anything like mine, I don't get to eat much bread anyway, so there's no reason to substitute Matzo for it. All you need to do it have large salads as meals. Maybe with non sweetened gefilta fish, or a small serving of chicken or beef.

There is no reason to make very rich foods just because it's traditional for this holiday.

Fruit, either fresh or stewed for dessert. Maybe a small macaroon crumbled on top of that for an extra special dessert.

By eating smart, there's no reason you will over do it. Just don't keep any leftovers of the special dishes in your house. Give it away!

You can survive Passover without over eating!
