Default Complications

Gallstones?
So last year I was popped into the hospital at 3 Am with pain so severe I thought I was having a heart attack. Thankfully it wasn’t. What I did wind up with was a diagnosis of Gallstones, inflamed gallbladder and an enlarged liver. My blood work showed residual Glucophage that had done damage, and because of that my gall bladder developed chemical stones not food related stones.
I also have acid reflux made worse by a variety of problems.
These secondary complications are often not talked about until it’s too late.
Now my deist has changed drastically, at times a complete liquid diet for a few days.
Has anyone else been the subject of non inforamtive complications.

Question Gallstones and heartburn?

I had a PET scan done and it said I had stones in my gall bladder, but thankfully I am not bothered by them so far. But you mentioned you also had heartburn and I get that too, even though my diet is bland and healthy. Do gall stones and heartburn have a connection?

Default thats what my doctor explained

he explkained that heartburn comes from bile and digestive acids.
While bile is produced in the gallbladder, it also combined not with a bland diet but from a diet in certain fats, especially if you use margarine, soybean oil.
So this is what he also explained, the body tries to break down calcium and mixes with bile to creat a blackflow which causes gallstones.
Theer is a certain type of pain thatc omes with it too. I thought I was having aheart attck, it turned out itw asnt, nor was it my ulcer acting up, though it was aggrivated.
When too much bile and stomach acid are produced, it slowly erodes atthe flap that keeps food in, so you get leakage., the longer it goe son, the mroe erosion and eventual GERD and reflux......

So he said:
no margarine of any kind,,,,,, no soybean oil, olive or canola only or betteryeat rationed real butter.
Limited high calcium products.. so milk is fine in 1 percent ro two percnt but whole could aggrivate.
I ahve to take either 1 prilosec OTC or two famotidine tablets.. one in the mnroniong and one at night.
Now I like the prilosec its good. cheap famotidine is good too......
I also use Mylanta ina pinch until the stuff can take effect
