I have stopped getting Diabetes Forecast years ago. They had a few articles there that deeply offended me.

One was about stomach stapling that was an obvious commercial from a group of doctors who did the surgery. I wrote a letter in protest and they published it. But they answered saying that they didn't talk about the dire complications that did happen to people when they had the operation (which was very serious at that time) because people maybe could die from diabetic complications from being overweight.

Then they had an article with a nasty and mean-spirited cartoon with a large person stuffing its face with a long line of donuts. I again write and asked that overweight people not be the brunt of nasty cartoons. They never wrote me back with that one.

I stopped my subscription and it was years before I could even support the organization again.

I did like the free samples advertised in the medical store ads in the back of the magazine though.

Default sometimes they do go overboard

Soemtimes they do cut short articles and present situiations ina worng lighta dn omit very important pieces of information.
Thast one reason why I am very picky on my magazines before I get them.. hence not too many anymore.

I love though teh free samples too............... So every now and then i head off to the book store with note pad in hand and go through and snag web addresses for free stuff... hehehe
