This may just be a rumor or something but I heard that if you left diabetes left untreated it can cause coma's and or death. Is this true? Or is this just a rumor?

Of course this is true, if you don't treat your diabeties, you can definately go into a coma depending on the type od diabeties that you have.

Diabetic coma technicaly is whjere the BG or blood glucose is too high fo rthe body to handle. Supposidly thats how Halle Berry was Dxd. She fell into a coma from elevated BG.

BUT, when I was in the hospital a few years ago with a diabetic abcess, theer was a young girl who came in, totally incoherent, she didnt know who she was and her BG was 1600!

it depends on teh eprson if you go into coma. Its justa cautionary tale.

INsulin reaction where there is not enough glucose and the insulin level is too high will cause a variety fo things, the most common being a heart attack, convulsions.

If you leave diabetes untreated the more smaller complication build up. Like blindness, kidney disease, infections,..... not pretty.
