So yet again I see diabetes used in a crime show as the cunning explanation/twist. In this case an apparent murder was actually no such thing, a diabetic not taking her insulin lost control of the car.

Can anyone bring to mind a diabetic character on TV where they guy or girl just happens to be diabetic and that is not the point of the character?

Default Warlock

in the original Warlock with Julian Sands as the ever sexy warlock.. the main character girl was diabetic. It shows her taking a shot of insulin at the opening.

Default Diabetes on teh back of drivers license

When we got our old drivers license, theer was a space and alisting for endorsements.. Insulin diabetes was one as was glasses.
Now they dont have those. I wish they woudl put it back.
Its a little known fact to the outside diabetic world, that runaway diabetes can mimic alcohol intoxication.
You weave, can have slurred speech and so on. what really cinches it is that whena breathalyzer is given it reads positive, even when there is no alcohol repsent. Ketones in the carbondiaoxide exhale converst to to a fasle reading.
if they put it back on teh back of the drivers licenses then many who are wrongfully accused of driving while impared who were not impared woudl ahve been properly screened.
