Default Nutritionist

I dont. simply because I had a great CDE abnnd eventually went on to learn the same stuff as they did.
A nutrtitionist takes teh basics of caloric intake, output, BMI and lifestyle and creates a diet to follow based on all of that information.

Going to some nutritionist can be problematic. They arent as in tune with diabetes and its needs as they are in tradiitonal weight loss ideas.

My mother in law sees a nutrionalist and they have helped her control her diabetes and lose weight. So maybe they work for some and not others?

Default it depends

It really does depend on what the ultimate goal is.
Many dietitans and nutritionsist dont understand the intricacy of trtue diabetic nutrition. But the idea is if you loose weight you reduce the risk and control the borderline types.
so fo her the ocncetration on weight loss was the utmost. congrats to her for loosing weight!
