Default Sneakers or shoes

I found that I have to wear sneakers or I develope problems with my feet. I also found that by wearing a simple ladies scrunch high cushioned sock instead of shoes or slipper sin the house my feet seem happier and heal.

What do you or thsoe who you know who have diabetes prefer?

Your feet needs an equal amount of attention when it comes to getting air circulation and being closed off . When you wear sneakers they often times don't get enough air which causes them to sweat and become irritated. But when you put on those nice comfy socks not only are they getting air but they are cushioned enough to wear you don't need slippers.

If your shoes are soft sided and the toes aren't protected by a sturdy cover, then sneakers aren't the way to go. We never know when we can stub a toe or bang it on something. If your sneakers are one of the styles that actually give your feet protection then they can be good.

But otherwise diabetics always need to think of safety first. Style and fun come in a far second when we get shoes. We can hurt our feet at any time and we need to always think of that when we buy shoes.
DARN!

Yep they need to start making diabetic, fashion shoes. I think that is a great idea. Someone should jump on that and start up a diabetic shoe company. Maybe called DSC shoes.
