I was reading a web site about eye problems and the final cause in one of the disease was "improper eye hygiene/care". is there somewhere it's written what that is? I just wash my face and remove makeup that gets near the eye. Was there something else we're suppose to know?

I've read that diabetes causes eye problems, which is why proper eye care is important to prevent them. By proper eye care, that means getting frequent eye examinations.

That would not stop pink eye or stys.
Keeping the area bathed, clean, and never irritated by makeup for perfumes or perfumes products like talc or mist sprays. That's why makeup experts always say wash out eye makeup with special cleaners/remover, never sleep with eye makeup on, and dust powder before mascara to lashes.

One o fteh problems with diabetics is the feeling of either oily lids or a film that blurrs vision. This happens because the glucose balancee of the tear fluid is off and oily skin is also a reaction to environment.

Pink eye is a bacterial infection of the sclera. The bacteria live in the folicle and duct of the eye and bloom when allowed to come in cntact with fluids that are rich in nutrients.
When rubbing the eye you break the sclera becaus eo fthe grit caused by dried bacteria and tears to flush it out. That allows it to breed and grow.
Pink eye in diabetics is dangerous because it can grow even quicker.
A trrip to the emnergency room is better off for Dxing pink eye. even if you dont have it, you will still get a product like Quercin to combat any infection that might be lurking.

Contagious and non contagious keratitis conjunctavitis is an infection that is highly damaging to teh sclera and cornea. IT lokos like Pink eye only shards are created that are needlelike and can stab in teh eye. The eye weeps and becomes encrusted.

To take care of your eyes for a diabetic, eye exams yearly or every two years.
Choose eye makeup that is hypoallergenic. Throw out eye makeup after three months.
Use Visine when eyes get oily feeling, tired or hot. let your eye doctor know if anything out of the ordinary happens.

You have to work a bit harder to take care of your eyes. Thats just a fact. They are the most sensitive and most open to infection.Putting anything near them that aren't suppose to me there will cause nothing but problems. Always Always see your doctor especially if you feel different.

How would "frequent" be described in this case? Is once a year enough, or is more often recommended? Are more exams needed if the disease is more progressed?
