Default Exercising in the Heat

When exercising on a hot day, do you all tend to carry a bottle of water with you and drink while exercising... or wait until you're finished to replenish water to your body?

Heh, he has to have a bowl for his--which keeps it more sanitary... Yesterday I accidentally grabbed the coke instead of a water but he didn't seem to mind that either.

Yes, you should always stay hydrated. Preventive maintenence is wise too: limit your caffeine intake as this will dehydrate you. AND NEVER TAKE EPHIDRINE BASED PRODUCTS!

Very good advice MHJ especially about the Ephedra based product. I have been on a kick warning people about the damaging effects that they could expierence from Ephedra.

I like to keep water with me as if I wait until the end I am usually very dehydrated and will chug the water down and then in turn I will get sick.

Yes, you have to stay hydrated, but you still need to make sure you have some food or drink that contains sugar in it. If your blood sugar levels begin to drop, you don't want to be a mile from home.

just skip it, imo - it's not worth the potential heatstroke to keep going.

Always drink water when you're exercising. Do it before, during and after. But it all depends on how hot it is. If it's particularly hot then I won't even bother going outside to exercise. I stay inside and do yoga, pilates and lift weights.
