Default Chest pains during work out

Sometimes when I work out, usually when I take a jog, I get these tight chest pains that usually ride up my throat. I don't know if this may have anything to do with me being a diabetic but I didn't use to get these types of pains before.

I think that you should consult your doctor on that soon.

I've heard of people experiencing chest pains that were brought on by strenuous physical activity, but not from jogging.

Take care of yourself.

I would look into those chest pains. People can have a heart attack after working out and after their heart rate comes down to a normal rythim. It has to do with overworking your heart or doing things you heart is not used to during workouts. Be careful this could be serious.

on ocassion I had that. With me its also like someone sucked all of the air out of the room too. I still get it, but not as often as I used to.
My doctor convinced me to try a different exercise to see if it manifests itself and keep a n exercise diary with teh type of exercise, duration and if i got the pains, this way he had something to see in a possible pattern.
It helped with diagnosis alot.
I woudl definatley see a doctor if it continues and worsens.

Jimmy you were getting chest pains too? What was the Dr.'s diagnosis? It sounds odd for a Dr. to let you keep getting this chest pains and not continue testing.

HI. its julie, I am devoted ot my husband jimmy.
Anyway, yeah I was getting those chest pains, out of breath and then cough, dizziness.
I went in for tests and they came back normal.

What hje and she suggested was that I was hyperventilating during exercise, Like holding my breath, wrong stance, rushing.
They suggested changing exercise to see if it cam back. and it didnt.
I then went and showed them what exercise I was doing and they did some tests.
It sems teh exefrcise was worng for bothmy bady and the stance.
They also noted a few chemical changes, like BG went through the roof and BP went high.
When I switched to passive exercise like, Pilates, belly dancing, and hiking and snorkeling where my stance and anxiety were minimal, it went away.

I now get it when I am forced in aerobics and similar arms swing movements and hard leg swing movements, like running or jogging.

The physiologist explained that for some people these type sof exercise are fine, but theer are some that these exercise cause more rebound swelling in the pericardium, fingers and body because of the type of motion. Passive exercise that allows for a calm atmosphere do alot of good and reduce cortisol and ephinephrine secretions that cause rebound reactions.

Ok so I took all that from my file. its long winded
Basically the doctors told me to change my exercise....... so now i do and I stay away from certain foods before i exercise too.. and it helps. Also theyput me on two aspirin before bed every other night, so instead I take one nightly.
have you tried switching exercise styles????
julie
