Default Indoor exercise?

I live in North Dakota. It's too cold to go out all winter, and even during the summer, sometimes it's hard to get outside to exercise since it rains so much. I have several exercise videos but they can get pretty boring pretty fast.

I am a stay at home mom of a 2 year old, and my husband has the car with him at work all day, so going to the gym isn't an option. Right now, in addition to the videos, I try to walk at least 5000 steps according to my pedometer. I also spend a lot of time chasing and carrying around my 30 lb toddler. I'm just looking for a little more variety, though.

Anyone have any good suggestions of things I can do in the house with a 2 year old, for exercise?

Carrying around and chasing after a two year old will give you some exercise, but maybe not enough to get the heart pumping hard enough. Do you own any gym equipment and if not, maybe consider investing a little into new exercise items every so often.
