I have trouble with any exercise 'for the sake of it' -- but now I have a dog who has got me out and walking and really improved things. he makes sure I don't 'skip a day' unless I wan't to replace the walk with vigorous carpet cleaning

I always thought having a treadmill at home would be a good thing. After all you can do it while you watch tv. It may drive the family nuts though!

I had a 'stepper' briefly. I found it all the work of walking with none of the benefits--and it squeaked terribly no matter what I did. That was my one and only attemot at home exercise machines!

I had a treadmill in my home, and it rarely got any use. IT WAS BORING! It eventually turned into a coat rack, then a table for clothes, and finally - it made it's way onto a screen porch. When we had the porch enclosed - we moved the treadmill outside to a toolshed, and eventually I was honest enough with myself to donate it to the thrift store.

The only exercise we got with that thing was moving it out of the way!

my MIL, god bless her heart, always ends up with machines here and there that end up migrating to other family members due to her inabilty to use them - a good salesman can sell anything!

Talking Presidents Challenege styles

I cant stand to exercise when my neuropathy strats up. Its like pins and needles either in my hands or feet.
Hubby bought an air cycle and I love it. We are trying to devize a way to hook it up to a battery so i can charge it when I cycle.
I love bowling and mini golf....
since teh hot weatherw e have been going to the lake and doing abit of cook out and biking as well.......

Ok now dont laugh but I also ahve the Richard Simmons tapes. And I got teh sit tight for doing exercise while I am at the computer.
Its not as easy or lame as some think. My daughter couldn't finish the tape... and she dances...

Richard Simmons tapes are fun, in a kind of goofy way!

I also recommend Denise Sansone walking aerobics DVDs.

Default RS tapes

I have the dancing to the oldies first tape. I managed to glean out of it really targeted stuff. I still cant get through all 25 minutes of the sit tight,,,,

I also go that funky rubber band but it stretched and doesn't work anymore. HUbby found a wheely thing that you sit on your knees and rol it out as far as you can go and use yur stomach muscles to bring you back. It works but you ache for days. Has anyone worked on the Pilates yet?

I have a book that has some great ones.. short routines that also spot target....
