Default Marathon Running

Is marathon running going to be a problem for my father? We have been running marathons together for the last couple of years but now I worry that he might not be able to do it.

He has not talked to his doctors yet, but I just want to know if they are going to tell him no right away or not.

Is your father a ongoing athlete? Has he stopped working out? I don't think their would be a problem if he is in good physical health and running the marathon is not more than what he is used too.
