Default Presidents Challenge

Today I did 3 hikes!
one was pretty lame but it counted. In total I did over 3 miles on 20-35 degree inclines.
No ttoo bad I gained about 900 feet in elevation.
But I also won the Silver Presidential award.
When i get gold I can apply to be a coach!

so hiking and walking gets you something!

Hey, this is wonderful! Big congrats to you. When you said "incline" I thought
you meant you did this on a treadmill, but then the elevation thing confused
me... was this an uphill walk outside, or a treadmill? In any case, good for you, it sounds great!

Default incline

When you are hiking you have degrees of that the path takes upwards( and coming back often danwards)
If you look at a flat line and then draw a line going up at an angle this is called your degree of incline. thats the angle you are walking up.
these angles on the waterfall hikes can go from a mere 15 degrees (gentle slope) to 45/50 degrees( Yikes).
The rainbow-falls hike has 15-50 degree inclines.
Abrams falls has some 40 and 50 degree incines coming back and downward slopes that are scarey!

This also adds to your elevations. a 30 degree incline you can gain upwards ofd of 50 feet or more from the level starting plane.
