Default Sunburn

So many diabetics forget abotu their skin.
If it dries out you constanly scratch and that can lead to dermal infections and long term scarring.

Sunburn is dangerus to diabetics. For a lot of reasons.
One it causes the skin to dry out.
two natural reaction is a fever and temperature fluctuation

it also causes an elevation in glucose levels in response to injury.

Your best protection is a good waterproof, sweat proof sunscreen if you dont want to wear medium length sleeves or reapply snscreen.

Ban De Soliel is a great product in origina orange gelee. Hawaiian tropic, Banana Boat are also good.
the one with teh frogg is good but attracts sand and dust.

Rash guards or snorkel skins protect and allow you to play without tempertaure loss form sunburn.

if you do geta sunburn, apply ALOE with idocane frequently adn check your glucose levels every few hours. apply moisturizer and if needed use Bactine for pain control.
