Shoes many diabetics find that they ahve trpouble from their shoes that they wear for exercise.
Thats because of a few factors. theer are some guidlines for choosing shoes.
they should be wide enough for feet to swell just abit and for toes to move. Having toes run together and cause blisters can be a problem.
minimal seams.
When choosing a shoe for any type of use make sure theer are minimal seams. Seams eventually give and cause a rubbing on the foot with a blister.
If your shoe has seams make sure they are felled, thinned or flat. If anything sticks up bunches or irritats justa bit, dot get them.
Shoes for diabetis shoule be made from breathable materials. Leather or canvas is best. This allows for continued air curculationa and that prevents athletes foot and keeps feet dry.
Shoes should be cofortable like a bed when you step in them. Do not buy a shoe that you " have to get used to" under any cicumstances.
Shoes should fit the purpose. A shoe that is used for running could be used for walkig but lacks some support Which ever sport or activity you choose make sure the shoe fits the need.
Socks: some acrylic, cotton, wool socks can cause irritation. find socks that are soft, breathable and dont make your feet feel strange. Socks should be comfortable non bindng but fit teh shoe for the purpose you need them.
