Default December 2007 Events

Kiss-A-Pig® is one of the Association's unique fund-raising campaigns. To "honor" the pig for aiding in discovering the effectiveness of insulin for people with diabetes, participants compete with each other to see who can raise the most money. The participant who raises the most money, usually a CEO or business executive, earns the honor of kissing the pig. This greeting occurs at the final rally, sometimes a dinner party or gala. Kiss-A-Pig events take place in several cities nationwide, and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Association. If you or someone you know is the perfect candidate for this event and you need additional information, please call 1-888-DIABETES.

TEAM DIABETES is a fund-raising event in which participants solicit donations as they train to run or walk in an established marathon. Contact your local office to see if they participate.

The Association's B.A.D. Ride -- Bikers Against Diabetes -- is a motorcycle fund-raising ride and family festival of the American Diabetes Association. This event unites the biker nation in the fight against diabetes with a full day of great riding, big entertainment, delicious food, lots of activities and a good vibe! Contact your local office to see if they participate.
