November 10th 2006 - Diabetic Foot Care: Concepts & Controversies at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information contact 717-531-6483.

November 10th 2006 - Second Annual Divabetic Hat Boxing Championships: This event is sponsored by the Stroke of Hope Foundation and Harlem's Heaven Hat Boutique and will be hosted by The Women of Grace from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The location is Grace Baptist Church at Grace Plaza 52 So. Sixth Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY. Free Admission featuring: Cissy Houston, Mary Ida Vandross for a hatbox decorating contest to raise awareness of diabetes in faith-based communities. A joyful celebration of "church divas" developed to improve the care and motivate women at risk of, affected by or living with diabetes to feel better and live healthier lives. November 12th 2006 - 3rd Annual Circle of Champions Charity Brunch will be hosted by ten-time Olympic swimming medalist Gary Hall, Jr. location is Joe’s Stone Crab at 11 Washington Avenue Miami Beach, FL from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. November 13th 2006 - 5th Annual Diabetes Research Institute Harold Kart Golf Classic This 18-hole tournament starts with a hearty lunch and concludes with a cocktail reception and awards dinner, plus an exciting live auction. Lunch and registartion are at 10:30 am and shotgun tee-off is at 12:00 pm. Location is the Boca West Country Club, 20583 Boca West Drive, Boca Raton, FL. November 15th 2006 - Diabetes Foot Care Clinic Holy Family Memorial’s Diabetes Foot Care Clinic is an opportunity for individuals who are at high risk for foot problems to have regular foot care procedures. Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm. The Diabetes Foot Care Clinic is held at Nutrition Plus and Diabetes Center, located at Medical Arts Center, 600 York Street in Manitowoc, WI. The clinic is held the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Depending on the services needed, appointments are from 20 minutes to 45 minutes in length.
