Default thought i would miss sweets

I thought at first that I would really miss sweets a lot , but I have come to discover that many sugar-free candies taste just as good as regualr candy. Now I can't even stand the taste of regular candy. The recipies I have found here have helped a lot too.

it's actually very impressive how many companies have responded to the call for sugar-free or low-sugar items and have come out with great stuff - the Hershey's chocos are faboo and I enjoy them a heck of a lot!

Default Dont be fooled by Sugar Free.......

Ok .. so here is the deal.
Those sugar free candies ahve the same amount of carbohydrates as trraditional candies. Yup....
You have to be keen on understanding that they impact your blood sugar the same way.
Sugar alcohol in a diabetic person makes not difference. It triggers teh same carbohydrate digestion reaction. Also sugar free foods often have higher carbohydrates than traditional foods because when they teake out the sugar they use additives that they use to make the candy thicker has a good amount of carbohydrate.
Be smart... read the label before choosing a sugar free candy or sugar free foods.

Also you ahve to remember that often saiting is a key. MAny suager free foods cause binging because we are not getting the carbon from the sugar that is needed. So we continue to crave or feel we can eat as much of it( sugar free) as we want.
By having one or two pieces or a serving of " real" candies we staisfy that craving.

BTW the history of sugar free candy started back in the 1940s. They were originally designed not for weight loss, as so many packages still carry that notice, but to reduce cavities!

as well - make sure to check the sodium! Often they pull out the sugar and dump in outrageous amounts of salt!!!
