Thanks for your concern. I haven't been wearing rings at all for a couple years now.

I'm not worried about it, considering my doctor's description of the pinched nerves causing it.

My fingers will fall asleep during the day. I will turn around and my fingers will be numb. I never associated this with Diabeties.

Default asleep arms with deep pain

Mine goes a bit deeper. My arms fall asleep to teh point of pain and swelling.
We found that when my BG goes way down circulatrion also goes down.
Another event is a dislocated or pinched nerve.

My husbadn had cubital tunnel from a compressed C4.5 and 6 nerve in his neck that caused his same sensation.

I think its part of old age and " settling" but you never know. your bed could be causing a lseep position that put pressure on your nerves.

Sleep in an ew position and if it doent happen all the time, make a mental note fo when it DOESNT happen and what you did that day or night.
a little detective work might uncover the mystery........

Lightbulb carpal tunnel syndrome

It sounds as if you are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. Your hands, from the thumb to the middle finger, goes into pins and needles and at night and the whole arm hurts. It can also happen when you do alot with your hands

I have had that for years and it is a form of arthritis and it's also called repetitive action syndrome because it comes about from a swelling of the carpal tunnel in the middle of your wrists when you do the same thing many times with your hands.

Try and keep away from salt, that helps the swelling.

Keep your arms warm at night. I have made arm warmers for that purpose.

Try and change your position of your hands when typing.

And -- and this is the BEST advice I can give -- there are splints that help keep your wrists at an angle that helps stop the pain. They are really amazing. I'd suggest you get those right away! They help so much.

In my case, my doctor mentioned carpal tunnel syndrome as affecting the other fingers, rather than the ones that I have the issue with.

I forget what he called it, but as I said regarding my case, he didn't seem concerned at all.

Best of luck to others with issues like this.

Default Dvt

I found out I have DVT. Its deep vein thrombosis. Its just one more thing I have to watch out for.
Luckily for me its controllable by aspirin and certain foods and vitamins........
I have cut out added salt. so thast not too bad.

My hubby had Cubital Tunnel....... and while the muscles atrophied our neurosurgeon had to do a Plate work on three compressed vertibrate.

Dont overlook your neck.....
remember whats wrong in one place, becaus eof how we are wired and made may and often affect a totally opposite part!

My doctor suggested it wasn't a problem.

I use to think that but I learned that it could be a number of things going on with that.Don't get cofused diabetes can be the cause of that though.

You could just possibly have bad circulation which is still a problem. You might want to get it checked out.

Default cubital syndrom

Cubital Tunnel syndrom is a fast becoming condition. Often associated with those who do a high amount of gaming and computer use.
The channel in tehe lbow becomes compressed with synovial fluid and compacted against the actual joint coming from the upper arm.
If you lean on your elbows alot and rest on your elbows, this will compress the nerves from the nerves form teh arm.
You can tell if you have this by the fingers " twitching" by themselvs and falling into a sleep.
If the condition is serious there will also be a heat and cold temperature change, possibly swelling of the hand itself, especially the palms.
According to our neurologist pamphlet on these........
