Yes, I find that too. The healthier it is for you the more expensive it is. I found grain bread at Trader Joes. called "Ezekel" bread. It does not taste the same as white or wheat bread, but it does not have flour or sugar in it. It is an easily adaptable taste and it cost less than those high priced store brands that are low on carbohydrates.

Actually I do find myself looking at the standard labelling system that seems to be on almost all of the labels now, to see how many carbs and calories are in a product as opposed to how much fibre, etc.

Default The Hat trick. hehehee

i call it that because theerare 3 things you can do to make any food a SB style food. You just have to be a thinker........
First SB prod\ucts are high in fiber. So you get one of the fiber supplements in powder form to boost up fiber content of any food.
We have used it in EVERYTHING! you cant taste it at all and it does help to keep BG down.

Second, everything SB is moderately high in protein. If you choosea food, say spaghetti and meat sauce you can boost up without distorting teh taste with Whey Powder. A small amount of whey powder boosst up any food by a certain amount.

And third balance. Make sure you make everything with lots of veggies too. You will notie that many SB foods ahve some sort of green or red veggie. B vitamins are a key. so eat your veggies.

So lets take one of my favs, Stuffed manicotti:
high in carb: by using cheese, meats and fiber and whey i boost up the proteins and fibers so that teh amount fo carb thats present is used to its maximum potential to burn and digest the proteins and fats........

a few dollars here and theer make any food SB friendly.

Ok so what about cheapo TV dinners.. use fiber powder and whey protein powder to make even HUngry Man or Banquet SB friendly!
