Default test strip mixup!

this has to do with Freestyle Lite meters.
It seems as though many drug stores and walmart ******** are not reading updates on things.
I have a freestyle lite meter and needed strips. Sicne it wa steh first time i was buying these strips I asked the pharmacist. who sent a tech to get the strips. According to both the pharmacist and the tech you can use any freestyle strip in the freestyle meters.. THIS IS WRONG.......
If you have a Freestyle lite meter you can only use freestyle lite strips. However the other freestyle meters are interchangable.

just aheads up

Thanks jimmy's devoted, that's good to know.

It reminds me of a couple I know who years ago were giving their young son medication. In their case, I guess because of their different work schedules, they ended up both giving him his daily dose, and over medicating him for a while!

It pays to keep an eye on the details.

I think the best advice we all can live by is to go to the manufacturer's website , be it about strips or insulin and call them to ask any questions we might have. Too many times, so called experts don't know the specifics to our questions and getting answer from the "horse's mouth" is the best.

That is a good reminder. Make sure you know what you need so that you can check up on what they give you!
