It's Too Sad.

I don't understand these parents, but I can never easily condemn them. They are obviously very religious people and they honestly thought their daughter would live.

What I really don't understand is how their relatives, who knew about the girl's weakening condition which had been going on for months, and who aren't part of the core family's religious outlook, why didn't they call in authorities sooner? That way the government could have gotten involved and this would have gone to court to give the child the medical care she needed.

If we are to be allowed religious freedom, then there is no easy answer to what happened in that house.
