Diabetic Feet I have seen a person in the street I assumed was diabetic because of the feet ulcers he had left uncovered by the bandage. The ulcers extend from the toes to about half of the leg. He was having difficulty walking even with a walking stick. My friends and I were thinking of approaching the man and perhaps offer to bring him to a hospital to have his feet properly cleaned but thought against it.
My mother's co-worker died of complications of diabetes. Before that, one of his legs had been amputated because of gangrene. Will there be any other solution for gangrene other than amputation? The moment he got amputated, he really lost hope and didn't fight the diabetes. |
