Lightbulb carpal tunnel syndrome

It sounds as if you are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. Your hands, from the thumb to the middle finger, goes into pins and needles and at night and the whole arm hurts. It can also happen when you do alot with your hands

I have had that for years and it is a form of arthritis and it's also called repetitive action syndrome because it comes about from a swelling of the carpal tunnel in the middle of your wrists when you do the same thing many times with your hands.

Try and keep away from salt, that helps the swelling.

Keep your arms warm at night. I have made arm warmers for that purpose.

Try and change your position of your hands when typing.

And -- and this is the BEST advice I can give -- there are splints that help keep your wrists at an angle that helps stop the pain. They are really amazing. I'd suggest you get those right away! They help so much.
