Had six surgerys done on it,and lost my vision in that eye in 2002.The hardest thing for me was the novocain shot underneath the eyeball.That was VERY painfull for me.After that my docter put me to sleep for the rest of the surgerys.If you can go that rout I recommend it.
My right was done twice,and I can still see out of that one.My doctor told me its a matter of time before I lose sight in that one.It could last 30 to 40 years or 2 years.It all depends on my blood sugar levels.
One of my problems was I waited to long when I started to get floaters.By the time my eye doctor say me it was to late.My eye was full of blood and my retina started to detach.
To answer Jimmy, when I had the floaters you could still see. After a while a reddish haze would start to develop. Then after the eye is full of blood, all you saw was shaddows in that eye.
