Default Shock

I Ahve seenmy own parents be shocked at the mention that I had diabets when I was so young. It was theer shock that preventedme form daily treatments resulting in quartkley treatments.
I was a walking experiment in diet and exercise therapies and alternative reaearch medications when I was little.
I was fortunate.

Many parents go into denial. I was not that type of parnet. When I was dxd as needind edication after many years on diet and exercise, then to orals and now to to insulin, my daughter is well aware and knowedgeable. She took it upon herself to be informed and comfortable wit teh fact that itmay happen someday. I had late stage gestational withher wihcih gives her a chance of development wich we are begining to see is small ways.
She is ocmfortable with meters, but shots ar abit hard. she islearning to give them to me....

I saw my parents be shocked and stunned and heart broken, and in that way treatment was just too difficult for them tocomprehend. I do beleive that parents of diabetic children should have a shock to their system and then go into battle with almost everything attheir disposal. Logicl resources, modern information and supportive measures.
